The TMP 3-Way Mixing Panel’s primary application is as a multizone mixing device where there are no flow requirements in the primary loop. Intended to be used with DHW tanks as a heat source, the pump is activated, and actuators (sold separately) are opened once every 24 hours, for 15 minutes, to ensure that potable water in the piping is not stagnant. The power box has thermostat inputs and actuator outputs for up to four zones (two actuators per zone). At this time, a DHW priority option for these panels is not available. When the panel receives a call for heat, the pump is activated, and the thermostatic control head in the 3-way mixing valve will automatically regulate the water temperature in the secondary circuit. When used with a DHW tank as a heat source, secondary zoning downstream of the panel is possible (subject to local codes).
